Returns & Refund Policy

This Returns & Refund Policy applies to all products and services supplied by Lawnitex. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Nature of Our Products
Lawnitex supplies:
- Natural grass (LM Grass and Kikuyu)
- Artificial grass
- Lawn dressing
- Sifted topsoil
- Compost
- Irrigation systems
- Installation services
Due to the perishable and custom nature of certain products, return eligibility varies by product type.
Natural Grass (LM & Kikuyu) – No Returns
Natural grass is a perishable product.
Once delivered or installed:
- Grass cannot be returned.
- Grass cannot be refunded due to improper watering, neglect, or environmental conditions.
- Refunds are not provided for incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring correct measurements before placing an order.
Artificial Grass Returns
Artificial grass may be eligible for return only if:
- The product has not been cut or installed.
- It is unused and in original condition.
- The return request is made within 7 days of delivery.
Return transport costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product was supplied incorrectly.
Custom-cut artificial grass is non-returnable.
Soil, Compost & Lawn Dressing
Due to the loose and bulk nature of these products:
- Soil, compost, and lawn dressing are non-returnable once delivered.
- Refunds will not be issued after dumping or offloading at the customer’s property.
Customers must confirm quantities before delivery.
Installation Services
Refunds are not provided once installation has been completed.
However, if there is a workmanship issue, Lawnitex may:
- Inspect the site
- Rectify installation defects if applicable
Installation warranty applies only to workmanship and does not cover:
- Improper maintenance
- Lack of watering
- Pest damage
- Weather damage
- Third-party interference
Order Cancellations
6.1 Before Delivery
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch. If materials have already been sourced or cut, a cancellation fee may apply.
6.2 After Dispatch
Orders cannot be cancelled once dispatched.
6.3 Custom Orders
Custom-cut or specially ordered products are non-refundable.
Incorrect or Damaged Products
If you receive incorrect or visibly damaged products:
- Notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
- Provide clear photographic evidence.
- Do not install the product.

Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days.
- Refunds will be made using the original payment method where possible.
- Banking details may be required for EFT refunds.
Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance
This policy is aligned with the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under the CPA.
Customer Responsibility
To avoid refund disputes, customers must:
- Accurately measure their area
- Ensure site access is clear
- Provide accurate delivery details
- Follow aftercare instructions
Improper care of natural grass may affect establishment and is not grounds for refund.
Firewood Returns & Refund Policy
Due to the nature of firewood as a natural and consumable product, the following terms apply:
No Returns on Used Products
Firewood that has been used, burned, or partially consumed cannot be returned or refunded.
Quality Assurance
We supply properly dried firewood that is ready for use. However, variations in moisture content, density, and appearance may occur due to natural differences in wood.
Reporting Issues
If you believe your order is incorrect or does not meet expected quality standards, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
Eligible Refunds or Replacements
Refunds or replacements may be considered in cases where:
- Incorrect product was delivered
- Order quantity is significantly incorrect
- Product is deemed unusable upon delivery
All claims are subject to review and may require photo or video evidence.
No Refunds for Preference-Based Issues
We do not offer refunds based on:
- Personal preference (e.g., expected burn speed or type)
- Misunderstanding of product type (e.g., Blue Gum vs Sekelbos)
- Natural characteristics of wood
Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are non-refundable once the order has been dispatched or delivered.
Order Cancellations
Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch. Once the order is out for delivery, cancellation is not guaranteed.
