This Delivery Policy outlines the terms and conditions relating to the delivery of products and installation services provided by Lawnitex.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.

 

  1. Delivery Areas

1.1 Primary Service Area

Lawnitex primarily operates within Gauteng, where we provide:

  • Grass supply
  • Full installation services
  • Soil and compost delivery
  • Irrigation services
  • Free site assessments
  • Free transportation for qualifying orders

1.2 Surrounding Provinces

We also deliver to and install in:

  • Limpopo
  • North West
  • Free State
  • Mpumalanga

Delivery outside Gauteng is subject to:

  • Distance
  • Order size
  • Project scope
  • Scheduling availability

Additional delivery fees may apply.

 

  1. Delivery Scheduling

2.1 Preferred Delivery Date
Customers may select a preferred delivery date during checkout (where applicable).

2.2 Confirmation
Delivery dates are confirmed after:

  • Payment or deposit is received
  • Availability is verified

2.3 Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 24–48 hours in advance.

Lawnitex reserves the right to reschedule due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Vehicle breakdowns
  • Supply chain delays

 

  1. Natural Grass Delivery Conditions

Natural grass (LM & Kikuyu) is perishable and must be installed promptly.

Customers must:

  • Ensure someone is present at delivery
  • Prepare the installation area in advance (if supply only)
  • Water grass immediately after installation

Lawnitex is not responsible for deterioration due to:

  • Delayed installation by the customer
  • Improper watering
  • Extreme heat or weather
  • Neglect after delivery

 

  1. Artificial Grass Delivery

Artificial grass is delivered in rolls.

Customers must ensure:

  • Adequate access for unloading
  • Safe storage prior to installation
  • Protection from damage before installation

Custom-cut artificial grass cannot be returned once delivered.

 

  1. Soil, Compost & Lawn Dressing Delivery

Bulk materials are delivered via dump truck or transport vehicle.

Customers must:

  • Ensure sufficient access space
  • Indicate dumping location clearly
  • Ensure no underground utilities are at risk
  • Accept that materials may be dumped at the nearest accessible safe point if access is restricted

Once offloaded, these materials cannot be returned.

 

  1. Site Access Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • Clear driveway access
  • Removal of obstacles
  • Secure pets
  • No blocked entrances
  • Adequate space for installation teams

If access is restricted or unsafe:

  • Delivery may be delayed
  • Installation may be rescheduled
  • Additional labour fees may apply.

 

  1. Installation Day Procedures

For installation services:

  • Customers must provide water access.
  • Electricity access may be required for tools.
  • The area must be cleared before arrival.

Failure to prepare the site may result in delays or rescheduling fees.

 

  1. Risk & Ownership

Risk passes to the customer once products are delivered and offloaded at the agreed delivery location.

For installation projects, risk transfers upon completion of installation.

 

  1. Failed Deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed due to:

  • Incorrect address
  • No one present
  • Restricted access
  • Unsafe conditions

A redelivery fee may apply.

 

  1. Free Transportation Within Gauteng

Free transportation applies only within Gauteng and may be subject to:

  • Minimum order requirements
  • Installation package selection

Lawnitex reserves the right to determine qualification for free delivery.

 

  1. Delays Beyond Our Control

Lawnitex shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Severe weather
  • Traffic incidents
  • Load shedding disruptions
  • Government restrictions
  • Force majeure events

We will communicate any significant delays promptly.

 

  1. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers must inspect products immediately upon delivery.

  1. Firewood Delivery Policy

Lawnitex offers reliable delivery of pre-packed dry firewood across Gauteng and surrounding provinces, including Limpopo, North West, Free State, and Mpumalanga.

Delivery Areas

We deliver to all major areas including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton, East Rand, and West Rand, as well as selected outlying regions.

Delivery Scheduling

Customers can select a preferred delivery date at checkout. While we aim to meet all scheduled dates, delivery times may vary depending on order volume, traffic, and route planning.

Access Requirements

Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible for our vehicles. If access is restricted or unsafe, delivery may be rescheduled.

Product Handling

Firewood is delivered in pre-packed bags for convenience. Our team will offload the order at a reasonable and accessible location on the property.

Delivery Delays

While we strive for timely delivery, delays may occur due to weather conditions, high demand (especially during winter), or unforeseen logistical challenges.

Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Provide accurate delivery details
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the order
  • Provide clear access to the delivery point

Failure to meet these conditions may result in delays or rescheduling.

Inspection on Delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect their firewood upon delivery. Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the order.
